Why we love it: Located within the beautiful grounds of Heckscher Park, the museum focused on exhibitions by Long Island artists. Founder, August Heckscher dedicated the museum of Huntington, “especially the children” in 1920 and in the one hundred years following, children have been at the forefront of arts education for this institution. The museum currently offers digital action painting, family activity guides and create your own activity stations for little ones to interact.
