APPLE PICKING
Seven Ponds Orchard

Why we love it: This is a quiet orchard. They have a farmers’ market and a wooden playground area. Additional activities include berry picking, sunflowers cutting, pumpkin picking, and tractor rides.

Lewin Farms Apple Picking

Why we love it: They sell Ice Cream with their own fruit inside at the farm stand. Roasted Corn on weekends. Farm stand offers fresh fruits and vegetables, and local honey.

Milk Pail U-Pick Farm

Why we love it: John and Evelyn Halsey, along with their daughters Amy and Jennifer, are the 11th and 12th generation of Halseys carrying on a farming tradition that began more than 350 years ago. In 1969 they began a tiny retail store to market their vegetables and sell the milk produced by their cows. They serve coffee, hot cider and other treats from their Fresh Market.

 Why we love it: Make it a day trip. This orchard is chock full of activities for the whole family - farm animals, pig races, musical hayride tours, live music, farmers market, and a corn maze.

Woodside Orchards – Aquebogue

 WHY WE LOVE IT: Hard cider and cider doughnuts. The business was started in 1982 as a small family run apple orchard that offered fresh fruit and baked goods. Since 2012 they have been crafting hard ciders.

Why we love it: Established in 1952, this farm is located just seven minutes away from the Inn. They provide an interactive experience agricultural experience. Check out the farm equipment, feed the chickens and the goats, then make your way through the 10 acre corn maze.
