OceanBlue is home to a diverse private collection that promotes our cultural heritage.
Our art collection began many years ago in the heady days of a burgeoning tourist industry when, in 1981 along with our partners, we built and co-owned the hugely successful, environmental and multi award winning 168 room hotel, Casuarina Beach Club (now Sandals Barbados). For 19 years Casuarina was managed by our mother Sonia “Bonnie” Cole-Wilson and it was during this period that Bonnie began her private art collection.
Her vision was to support, promote and through the hotel, give exposure to established and emerging Barbadian artists working in diverse art styles and materials. Bonnie’s support was impactful and appreciated by artists and aesthetes alike.
