HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING
The main thermostats for the heating and air conditioning systems operate like a standard household thermostat.
Use the thermostat to select your desired temperature and heating or cooling mode.
Please avoid making large temperature adjustments, as the system may take some time to bring the accommodation to the selected temperature.
FIREPLACE THERMOSTAT
The fireplaces in the Beach House and cabins are controlled by a separate wall thermostat.
To use the fireplace:
1. Locate the switch on the side of the fireplace thermostat.
2. Move the switch from OFF to ON.
3. Set the thermostat to your desired temperature.
4. The fireplace will start automatically when heat is needed and will turn off once the selected temperature is reached.
IF THE FIREPLACE DOES NOT START
- Make sure the switch on the side of the thermostat is set to ON.
- Set the thermostat a few degrees above the current room temperature.
- Allow a short moment for the fireplace to start.
- Contact guest support if the fireplace hasn't started in 5 minutes.
WHEN FINISHED
You may leave the fireplace thermostat set to your preferred temperature during your stay.
If you no longer wish to use the fireplace, move the side switch back to OFF.
IF YOU SMELL GAS
If you smell gas or suspect a gas leak, do not attempt to operate the range, oven, or fireplace.
- Do not light matches, candles, or any other flame.
- Do not operate electrical switches or appliances.
- Leave the accommodation immediately and move to a safe location outside.
- Once safely outside, contact emergency services and notify The Point on Wood Lake right away.
Do not re-enter the accommodation until it has been confirmed safe to do so.
