We have some great news for you. Each of the sheds comes with a Nectre wood fire heater in the lounge area, providing you with the ultimate relaxation spot during your stay. The wood fire heater emits a gentle and soothing glow, creating a cozy atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. Whether you're reading a book, enjoying a cup of tea, or chatting with your loved ones, the wood fire heater will keep you warm and comfortable throughout your stay.

We will provide fire lighters and matches in each shed, but you will have to supply your own firewood. You can bring it with you or purchase it online (HERE) from us, and we will ensure it is in your room when you arrive. The wood comes as a 25kg bag of redgum wood with kindling, ready to burn. It is supplied by the local farmer across the road from the Sheds. One bag of wood should be good for two nights.

Before lighting your fire, please note that we don't clean out the firebox after each use. This is because we believe that leaving the old coals and charcoal in the box as this will make it easier to start and will create a hotter and more even burn. Just spread the old coals around the box evenly and start your own fire.

When you are ready to light the fire, place a couple of fire lighters inside the stove and build a box around them. They call it the Tower Method. You can watch the video here. In Shed ONE and TWO, on the front door of the stove is a dial that lets in air to feed the fire. The more open the vent, the faster and hotter the burn. Overnight, close the vent all the way to dampen the fire down, or you will be turning the air conditioning onto cooling! In the BIG shed, there is a slider to control the air and also a remote control to turn on the fan to move the heat around the big room.

We recommend turning the overhead fans on, reversing the flow direction, and setting them too low. This will move the warmth around the room and prevent it from pooling in the high ceilings.

Please keep children away from the stove, as it is not intended for use by kids, and we do not provide screens. Take care and enjoy your stay.
