While we rarely do it, every once and a while you need a break from the Chalet for a night out. We are gonna be honest, there are limited options nearby. But if you are willing to drive a bit, here are the ones we found are the best...

The Smithfield Inn

Smithfield is a historic community with tons of boutique shops. As part of your day, stop into the Smithfield Inn for a lakefront dinner.

The Smithfield Bakery

amazing wine, liquor, and polish food section. We stock up on pickles, mustard, and kraut - the best we've ever had! Grab a few bottles of 79 wine to go with your meal! You won't regret it.

Classic diner with all the pancakes, eggs and bacon you need. Our kids personally vote for the french toast. Go there in person or or have a lazy morning and order via GrubHub.

One of our co-owners Chad tried all the pizza while working to finish the house for months. And he says this is the best one hands down. But he was always so sad when they wouldn't deliver to the Chalet. So Chad put on his best charm and spoke to the owner, and voila! They will now deliver! Woo hoo Chad!

Great classic Chinese food as well as a Japanese sushi menu which is quite good! Order on their website, they deliver and they give $5 off for online orders. Just make sure you ask for extra chopsticks!

For a cozy night in, pick up some Italian food from Joe's. This New Jersey-based restaurant has a few locations in the area, but Hammonton is closest. Chicken parm, garlic bread, and calamari are calling your name.

The closest two towns are Egg Harbor City or Hammonton. Hammonton has a decent downtown and more Mexican restaurants than we can count! And they have lots of restaurant options for take out or dining in.
