Can I see the Northern Lights from the Cabins & Area?
You are in one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights as we are in the Aurora Belt within the center of the Aurora zone.
We are lucky as lots of guests can see the Northern Lights directly from the cabins. When you get to see them it can be an exhilarating and often “spiritual” experience.
The northern lights are always dancing but are usually only visible from Autumn to early spring, and are strongest during dark clear nights when the conditions are right.
The Lights often love to play hide and seek, so patience is the key.
It sounds obvious but LOOK UP!
- Dress Warmly and be prepared to go outside
- The Northern Lights can appear at any time so be prepared to stay up late and sometimes to the early hours.
- Check the moon status as a full moon can impact visibility.
- If you are inside your cabin, TURN OFF THE LIGHTS :)
We often get asked which “app” is best for predicting the Aurora however there is no substitute for patience, looking, and to be honest good old-fashioned luck.
