Aurora Fjord Cabins are situated next to Aurora Spirit Distillery near Lyngseidet.
- From Tromso check the Breivikeidet to Svensby Route
- From Alta check the Olderdalen to Lyngseidet Route
Tromso to Lyngseidet (via Ferry) If you are coming from Tromsø to Lyngseidet you can take the ferry from Breivikeidet to Svensby route. From Tromsø, the route will follow the E8 to Fagernes (20 km) and then on along the Rv 91 to the quayside at Breivikeidet where you can board the car ferry (Timetable Here).
The 20-minute boat trip over to Svensby is a perfect opportunity to see the stunning Lyngen Alps and you can also enjoy coffee and waffles.
Once you leave the ferry, please turn right to Lyngseidet and travel for about 20km.
Tromso to Lyngseidet (without Ferry) If you cannot take the ferry, you can also drive around the fjord which would add an additional 30 minutes to your journey and its about about 130 km Follow E8 from Tromsø and drive about 70 km to Nordkjosbotn. Turn turn left onto E6- Alta. After about 18 km you will come to a place called Otern. In Otern you turn left onto RV868 towards Lyngseidet you drive about 40 km. Then follow the signs for Aurora Spirit Distillery as above.
Olderdalen Ferry
If you come via the Olderdalen Ferry you will arrive at the ferry quay in Lyngseidet. Once you arrive here please follow the signs for Aurora Spirit Distillery.
At Lyngseidet turn left towards Koppangen and follow the signs for Aurora Spirit Distillery (about 10km from Lyngseidet.
The Distillery is easy to find with clear signage.
After turning onto the small road on the right, follow it to the bottom where the Distillery will be straight ahead. Drive past the large warehouse, keeping it on your right, and continue past the Distillery along the narrow track that leads down a short slope (with the fjord on your left). At the bottom of the slope, you'll find the cabin car park, with the cabins located to the right. Each cabin is numbered from 1 to 10.
