If you're planning to travel to Lyngen over the Christmas holidays, we'd like to share some important information to help you prepare.

Many activities and stores close during this time, so it's important to be aware of this in advance.

Store Opening Times:

The cabins are self-catering and come with everything you need for a comfortable stay. However, please note that the stores will be CLOSED over Christmas, so you may need to make alternative arrangements for food.

The COOP Extra is situated in the centre of Lyngseidet and you can check the COOP Extra opening times HERE 

The Ferry is running on a limited timetable so please CHECK before travelling.

Thank you for joining us here at Aurora Fjord Cabins in the Arctic Circle, in Lyngen, Norway.

In this Guest book, you will find some useful information including directions, check-in information, and recommended activities so you can make the most of your time here.

We don't have a reception on site, so we have a self-check-in service.

You will receive a cabin number and keycode between 14.45 and 15.00 on the day of arrival.

Please check your junk/spam folder if you appear not to have received it.

  • Check-in time is after 15.00
  • Check-out time is before 10.30

Please note that we don't offer transfers or shuttle services, so we highly recommend renting a car. We're about 1.5 hours from Tromsø, and having your own transport will make your trip smoother.

WIFI -There is complimentary WiFi at the cabins however due to the rural location it may be a lot slower than you are used to. 

The connection can be very unstable and in extreme weather conditions, it may stop.  

Unfortunately, the nearest engineers are over 2.5 hours away, and although we do try to monitor the connection we hope you understand that often an outage is outside of our control. We hope the magnificent view makes up for any loss of service.
