Heating & Airconditioning

INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO FOR AIRCONDITIONER/HEATPUMP HERE

There is Underfloor heating in both the bathroom and hallway, it can take some time to heat up once it has been turned off. If it does not appear to be working please turn the dial all the way off and then on again,( you will hear it click) and this should reboot it.

The little fan in the living room is NOT a heater and will draw cold air in, so this will not help with heating the cabin.

The underfloor heating will take a few hours to adjust as it is a background heat - so for the main heating source please use the air conditioner/ heat pump in the hallway.

Adjusting the Temperature

  • The Remote is in the hallway next to the air conditioning/heating unit.
  • Turn the remote on (yellow button)
  • Simply select the up and down arrow to adjust the heat or coolness level.

    • Changing the Mode

  • Slide down the panel on the remote
  • Select the mode button (top left)
  • Scroll to the setting you want, eg. heat, cool, etc
  • Readjust the temperature

    • IMPORTANT

    During the winter months - Please do not turn off the heating.

    We don't have a reception on site, so we have a self-check-in service.

    You will receive a cabin number and keycode between 14.45 and 15.00 on the day of arrival.

    Please check your junk/spam folder if you appear not to have received it.

    • Check-in time is after 15.00
    • Check-out time is before 10.30

    Please note that we don't offer transfers or shuttle services, so we highly recommend renting a car. We're about 1.5 hours from Tromsø, and having your own transport will make your trip smoother.

    WIFI -There is complimentary WiFi at the cabins however due to the rural location it may be a lot slower than you are used to. 

    The connection can be very unstable and in extreme weather conditions, it may stop.  

    Unfortunately, the nearest engineers are over 2.5 hours away, and although we do try to monitor the connection we hope you understand that often an outage is outside of our control. We hope the magnificent view makes up for any loss of service.
