Each cabin is equipped with a smoke detector for your safety, located on the ceiling in the hallway.

We check these regularly, but when the batteries run low, the detector may emit a "beeping" sound. While this can be bothersome, please do not remove the battery, as all cabins are connected to a fire safety system, and doing so could pose a danger to everyone.

If the smoke detector starts beeping to indicate a low battery, please check for a spare battery in the small cupboard above the stove-top

If you replace the battery, kindly inform us so we can ensure everything is functioning properly. Thank you!

Thank you for joining us here at Aurora Fjord Cabins in the Arctic Circle, in Lyngen, Norway.

In this Guest book, you will find some useful information including directions, check-in information, and recommended activities so you can make the most of your time here.

We don't have a reception on site, so we have a self-check-in service.

You will receive a cabin number and keycode between 14.45 and 15.00 on the day of arrival.

Please check your junk/spam folder if you appear not to have received it.

  • Check-in time is after 15.00
  • Check-out time is before 10.30

Please note that we don't offer transfers or shuttle services, so we highly recommend renting a car. We're about 1.5 hours from Tromsø, and having your own transport will make your trip smoother.

WIFI -There is complimentary WiFi at the cabins however due to the rural location it may be a lot slower than you are used to. 

The connection can be very unstable and in extreme weather conditions, it may stop.  

Unfortunately, the nearest engineers are over 2.5 hours away, and although we do try to monitor the connection we hope you understand that often an outage is outside of our control. We hope the magnificent view makes up for any loss of service.
