Wineries –Long Island boasts 57 distinct wine producers. The North Fork Wine Trail begins only 20 minutes from the inn. Maps are available at the inn and we can certainly offer suggestions for our favorite tasting rooms and restaurants. Vineyard touring is a great option for groups of friends + family, particularly if looking to entertain amidst a celebration gathering. We recommend reserving transportation to ensure your party’s safety and stress free enjoyment. Please check our dedicated page for some of our favorite vineyards.
Distillery & Brewery- Eat, drink and be merry with our friends and partners at either the Better Man Distillery or Blue Point Brewery. Better Man offers some adult friendly experiences, like cocktail classes, tours & tastings and even movie nights. Blue Point is a laid back, kid- friendly option for tasting some great local beers. Find a curated selection of beverages from Better Man and Blue Point available at the Bellport Inn.
Nature Trails - Just minutes from the inn, immerse yourself in beautiful nature preserves throughout the year. Check our dedicated page for info.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding On Bellport Bay or Carman’s River – We highly suggest this scenic and active outing if you are visiting between Memorial and Columbus Day! Jet Ski Rentals- If you are visiting us in the summer time and prefer a little adrenaline rush, jet- ski rentals are available in the neighboring town of Brookhaven. Reservations are not required but are recommended. To learn more about Long Island Jet Ski Rentals, click here or call 631-559-5151.
Markets and Farms – If you are looking for wonderful local produce, and fresh goodies, we suggest stopping by Deer Run Farms and the HOG Farm - each offers farm stands on the weekends. Be sure to check out Hog Farm’s event calendar for family friendly gatherings throughout the year. One of our other, favorite nearby farms is Waterdrinker Family Farm, located just 15 minutes away (closed Jan-March).
Gateway Theatre - We are so fortunate to be walking distance from this famed Long Island theatre, featuring world-class productions. For the past fifteen years, Gateway has also been running their Haunted Playhouse, winning numerous awards on a local and national level. This unique, Halloween experience runs for six weeks, complete with professionally trained actors and incredible set design + production. There is a new theme every year! Beer and wine are available nightly and on select evenings, comfort food is available from Billie Jeans food truck. There is a new theme every year! Antiquing – There is no shortage of excellent shops nearby, featuring special pieces rich with history.
